The KynSHOT RB5020SS is a hydraulic recoil buffer system built specifically for competition shooters looking to improve sight recovery and achieve faster follow-up shots with pistol caliber carbines (PCCs).
Developed in collaboration with Blitzkrieg Components, the RB5020SS features increased length and weight for shooters who prefer a short-stroke competition setup. Measuring 5.3 inches, it reduces bolt travel by 1.3 inches when used in a standard AR-15 carbine buffer tube. In an AR-10/A5 carbine buffer tube, it shortens bolt travel by 0.5 inches, with the option to further reduce stroke length by adding spacers. The buffer is tuned for lighter 9mm competition loads, helping maximize performance and extend service life.
- When used with an AR-15 carbine buffer tube, a modified bolt may be required to ensure proper trigger reset.
- For unmodified bolts, an A5 buffer tube is recommended.
The RB5020SS is also compatible with PCCs that use A1 or A2 fixed rifle-length stocks (with an internal depth of 9.5 inches).
