The KynSHOT Spacer Weight, developed in partnership with Blitzkrieg Components, is designed for use with both PCC and other KynSHOT AR hydraulic recoil buffers to increase mass at the front of the buffer system. It adds 0.75 inches of length and 2.5 ounces of weight, fitting closely within the buffer tube to help prevent buffer tilt during operation.
For setups where full bolt travel is desired—allowing the bolt to cycle completely and stop behind the bolt catch—an AR-10/A5 buffer tube is required, as it provides the additional internal length needed to accommodate the spacer. When paired with PCC buffers in a short-stroke configuration (where the bolt stops before reaching the bolt catch), a standard AR-15 buffer tube should be used. Adding mass is especially important in short-stroke PCC systems, as the bolt has less time to decelerate during cycling.
For most firearms with barrel lengths between 8 and 16 inches, an optimal configuration is to pair this spacer weight with an RB5015HD buffer and a .308 carbine buffer spring inside an AR-10/A5 buffer tube to maintain full bolt travel. If your bolt includes a pinned rear weight, it’s recommended to keep it installed to preserve overall bolt mass.
